Responsibilities

The City Manager is appointed by the City Council and manages the day-to-day operation of the city under the policy and direction of the Mayor and Council. The City Manager guides and supports all City departments and services, collaborates with the City Council by offering thoughtful policy and program recommendations, and helps bring the Council’s vision to life by carrying out its adopted legislation.
