What is an off-highway vehicle?
An off-highway vehicle (OHV) is a vehicle designed and generally used for recreational purposes in places regular vehicles cannot go. ATVs are a common type of OHV.
Not OHV:
- Dirt bikes
- Vehicles used on, over, or in water (i.e. boats)
- Snowmobiles
- Tote Goats
- Go Carts
- Mini Bikes
- Military vehicles
- Golf carts
- Vehicles designed/used to carry individuals with disabilities
- Vehicles designed/used specifically for agricultural, logging, or mining purposes
